Farmland Preservation Summit

The Office of Farmland Preservation partners with Ohio organizations to plan the annual Ohio Farmland Preservation Summit. The Summit is now recognized by the American Farmland Trust as the largest statewide gathering for farmland preservation issues. Local leaders as well as nationally renowned speakers are sought each year to participate in the summit to educate and inform attendees about new and important farmland protection issues. Participants include citizens, local elected officials, land trusts, farmers, environmentalists, farmland advocates and public administrators.

Planning for the 2009 Ohio Farmland Preservation Summit "Planting the Seeds of Future Prosperity" is underway. For this landmark anniversary, the 10th annual Summit will be held Thursday, November 5,
9 a.m.- 4 p.m.. Click on the "2009 Summit" link on the left of the page for more information or contact the Office of Farmland Preservation.
