The Ohio Food Policy Council’s Agricultural Viability Task Force will meet Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Columbus Food Terminal, 4561 E. 5th Ave. Columbus, Ohio. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the protection of Ohio farmland and water resources by encouraging the growth of food products in Ohio.

The Ohio Food Policy Council’s Healthy Food Access Task Force will meet Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s Bromfield Administration Building, Room 308, 8995 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, Ohio. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss ways to provide those in need with greater access to fresh and nutritious food.

The Ohio Food Policy Council’s Market Connections Task Force will meet Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, from noon to 3 p.m. at the North Market, 59 Spruce St., Columbus, Ohio. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss ways to help farmers and businesses market their food products and develop ways to link producers and consumers in local food systems.
